Welcome to "Al's" Kitchen!
During the OGLFC gathering Ron expressed wanting to do something "quirky" and different on his website. Then came the idea a recipe section. Do you have a recipe you would like to share with Ron and other fans? Here is your chance. In an attempt to orgainze this section please post your recipes at
"Al's
Kitchen" Forum at Friends of Ron

Please note, due to an overwhelming amount of Robot Spamers the original board has been taken down and this is an entirely new board. You will have to register for the new board and I apologize for the inconvience.
Our Featured Recipe for Collard Greens submitted by Nancy was the inspiration behind the idea for this section of Ron Raines Online.
Collard Greens
2 or 3 large heads of collards (makes enough to freeze ).
1 quart of chicken stock
3 ham hocks
heat stock in large pot and add ham hocks/ simmer 2 hours or longer /take hocks out and remove good meat from the bone add meat back to stock
take cleaned collards (i know ,you know , what a pain they are to clean) roll to about a quarter of an inch and cut add greens to meat and stock cook until tender , about 30 minutes.
salt and pepper to taste
happy eating !!!
